Went for dinner. Calamari was cold and basic. Rice ball was delicious and the meat lovers pállela was incredible. The chicken parm was good but huge definitely shareable. The pasta puttanesca was good nothing crazy. Not spicy so added a bunch of red pepper flakes. If you come here I would not come for the pasta but for the paella if you're expecting amazing pasta it's good but not amazing.

The food was outstanding and so was the service. We started off with some drinks, they were accommodating for me since I don't drink and concocted a yummy mocktail. We got bruschette for the table. My friend got the Salmone pasta and it was so creamy and delicious. My other friend and I split the Marisco Paella single serving which was also delicious. The ambience was nice and romantic many people were out on dates. All the portions were more than expected and we left feeling very full and content with the experience. Would totally come back again.

This spot is amazing, and I can't believe I just tried it! I've passed by it so many times. The paella is a must--it's one of the best I've ever had. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, tender, and surprisingly juicy for a chicken breast. They also have great half-off tapa deals and $5 drink specials. Plus, the owner is super sweet! I definitely need to come back to try more dishes, and I'll be ordering the paella again for sure!

Hidden gem. Service was amazing. The owner is also so nice. Ambience outside on a nice night is ideal. Happy hour prices are really good and we had their octopus and a few other dishes along with some Moscow mules for$10.

Our last day in NY and I craved paella. On YELP, this restaurant had stellar reviews, so off we went to Jose Luis. Outdoor seating available, but we opted for indoor, as we needed to sit next to an outlet to charge our phones. I know, kinda crazy lol, but our phones were our way of navigating around NYC. Indoor lighting was dim, decor interesting....not a fan of the disco ball hanging near the entrance, and I80s music was playing in the background, which I didn't mind at all. FYI- happy hour daily from 3-7pm. All tapas are 1/2 off with wine/beer/sangria $5 cocktails drinks $8 also with YELP check in receive 15% off total bill! Our server was fabulous- friendly and and helped answer our questions. If ordering a tapas, he suggested a single serving order of the paella to share. Otherwise, if we ordered no tapas, then a double serving to share would suffice. We ordered: Polpettine tapas- two large veal/beef meatballs in a tomato sauce, sprinkled with a dust of cheese. Meatballs were nice and tender, tomato sauce on the sweeter side...I wouldn't mind a little spice or kick to the sauce. We then shared a single serving of the Marisco paella. Platter was huge and had tons of seafood including calamari, shrimp, mussels, and clams. Rice was nice and creamy and the peas and small tomatoes added a nice color and flavor to the dish. This dish and the tapas were more than enough for the two of us! A loaf of French bread with tomato sauce was complimentary. And for drinks/cocktails, we had the peach sangria and Moscow Mule during happy hour. I loved the small diced peaches at the bottom of my drink. At the end of our dinner, our server gave us a special treat and offered us two lemoncello shots! Thank you Great service and great food!
